Get Ready For School
School Uniform Policy, School Hours, Supplies, and Expanded Learning!
At KIPP SoCal, every school has a uniform dress policy to help students feel a strong sense of belonging and community. Be sure to check your school’s handbook for important details like start times, breakfast hours, and more.
We’ve got your child covered with all the basic supplies they’ll need in class — though having a few extras like pencils or scissors at home can be helpful too.
And don’t forget: our Expanded Learning Program offers exciting extracurriculars, homework help, and fun family events all year long to keep your child learning and growing beyond the school day!

Expanded Learning Program
Our Expanded Learning Program includes Summer Camp, Intersession Programming, and an After School Program — open to all families interested in enrolling.
Our vision is to provide every KIPPster with year-round, enriching, engaging, and safe learning opportunities that support their growth as joyful, curious, whole students.
The program is funded by state and federal sources, which means we must follow specific requirements around enrollment, attendance, and early release in order to maintain our funding.
Expanded Learning includes:
- Academic support (homework help, tutoring, reading time)
- Enrichment clubs (sports, arts, robotics, performing arts, and more)
- Meals (daily snack and supper)
- Fun events and field trips throughout the year
Families will receive a program orientation and a set of program guidelines. To participate, all families must sign the family guidelines.
