Our school participates in the CA Universal Meals Program under the Community Eligibility Provision. Breakfast and lunch are offered daily at no charge to all students.

Dress Policy
The goal of KIPP Corazón Academy is to prepare our students for high school, college and the professional world beyond KIPP. Our dress policy is designed to promote unity, ensure that students are safe and age-appropriately dressed from head to toe, and to limit distractions so the focus is on learning.
STUDENT DRESS CRITERIA AND OPTIONS
- Gray pants
- Gray skirt / no shorter than 2 inches above the knees
- Gray shorts / no shorter than 2 inches above the knees
- No jeans (except as indicated below) or jean-like pants/shorts or jeggings.
- Royal blue or Black polo shirt (KIPP Corazón logo optional)
- Solid navy sweatshirt (KIPP Corazón logo optional)
- Solid navy cardigan sweater (KIPP Corazón logo optional)
- Solid navy outerwear jacket (KIPP Corazón logo optional)
- On Fridays, students may wear a KIPP or college shirt and jeans. Jeans must be school-appropriate and cannot have rips or holes. (As soon as Lower School homerooms submit their handbook signed, you will earn jeans on Friday!)
Plain long-sleeve undershirts in the following solid colors: black, white, navy, or gray (optional). Appropriate school shoes that allow students to participate in physical recreation. Shoes should not exceed 2 inches above the ankle. No sandals or open-toed shoes. Exception: Rain boots may be worn on rainy days.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION (UPPER SCHOOL ONLY)
- Gray T-shirt with the student’s name on it (KIPP Corazón logo optional)
- Blue athletic shorts with the student’s name on them (KIPP Corazón logo optional)
- Blue sweatpants with the student’s name on them (KIPP Corazón logo optional)
- Athletic shoes for physical activity (No open-toed shoes for safety)
- Athletic towel with name on it (optional)
- Transparent water bottle with name on it (optional)
OTHER DRESS CRITERIA
- Clothing, jewelry, and personal items, such as backpacks and book bags, with language or images that are vulgar, sexually suggestive, discriminatory, obscene, libelous, contain threats, or that promote illegal or violent content such as the unlawful use of weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or drug paraphernalia, are strictly prohibited.
- Clothing, shoes, or accessories that may not be age-appropriate, unsafe, or disruptive during the school day will not be allowed.
- KIPP SoCal Public Schools is not responsible for lost or stolen jewelry, accessories, or other personal items.
