Joyful & Academically Excellent Schools
Grades TK-8
Our KIPP SoCal Approach
At KIPP SoCal elementary and middle schools, our whole-child approach follows our KIPPsters along their path to and through college. Our approach not only focuses on rigorous academics, but also provides character development, enrichment, activities, social-emotional learning, physical and mental health programs, and the nurturing of one's purpose.
Together with families and communities, we create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose -- college, career, and beyond -- so they can lead fulfilling lives and create a more just world.

Our Elementary Schools
Our award-winning elementary schools, grades TK-4, are founded on community, care, and the cultivation of a love of learning. Our goal is to ensure that we see, develop, and inspire the greatest potential in each KIPPster. There is a strong emphasis on foundational literacy, conceptual math, and exposure to a multitude of STEAM experiences (science, technology, engineering, arts and math).
KIPP SoCal Elementary Schools have been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools, California Distinguished Schools, Innovate Top LA County Public Schools and in 2022, U.S. News and World Report named four of KIPP SoCal schools as among the Best Elementary Schools in the nation.
Grades TK-4
Our Middle Schools
Middle school is the place and space to begin the development of our KIPPsters' identities as informed and engaged citizens of their school, their communities and of the world. They learn to think deeply, to write passionately, and to engage thoughtfully through rigorous and affirming learning experiences.
At KIPP SoCal, 94% of middle-school alumni graduate from high school. Students meet with their KIPP Forward (formerly KIPP Through College) counselors in seventh grade and develop relationships with their mentors throughout high school, college, and career.
KIPP SoCal Middle Schools have been recognized as National Blue Ribbon Schools, California Distinguished Schools, Innovate Top LA County Public Schools and in 2022, U.S. News and World Report named five of KIPP SoCal schools as among the Best Middle Schools in the nation.
