Every fall, KIPP SoCal families gather for KIPP Forward’s High School Fairs, which are designed to help students and caregivers explore their options after middle school and feel confident in their high school choices.
This year, KIPP Forward hosted three regional high school fairs across Los Angeles: the East LA Fair at KIPP Academy of Innovation, the South LA Fair at KIPP Scholar Academy, and the Southeast LA Fair at KIPP Corazón Academy. By hosting regional events, families from multiple KIPP middle schools were able to come together in one place to learn about high school options available in their communities.
Across the three fairs, more than 50 high schools participated, with about 25 schools at each event. Families explored a wide range of options—from traditional public schools and magnet programs to public charter, Catholic, and independent day schools. Because at KIPP SoCal, we believe knowledge is power, and families deserve access to clear, comprehensive information as they make important decisions about their child’s future.
These fairs are just one part of KIPP Forward’s year-round support. Each year, KIPP Forward supports more than 1,000 8th-grade families across the region as they explore, apply to, and enroll in high school—ensuring students are supported every step of the way.
