This Thanksgiving season, our Community School Managers partnered with incredible elected officials and community organizations to ensure KIPP SoCal families felt supported, seen, and cared for — and we are so grateful for their generosity.
Thanks to these partnerships, hundreds of families received turkeys, warm meals, and thoughtful support right in time for the holiday:
Assemblymember Mark Gonzalez — Supported KIPP Endeavor, KIPP LA Prep, and KIPP Promesa, with our Community School Managers delivering turkeys directly to families’ homes.
Assemblymember Jose Luis Solache — KIPP Corazón Upper School's Kiwanis Club supported Assemblymember Jose Luis Solache's community turkey giveaway at South Gate Park
South Gate Mayor Davila & Community Partners — Supported KIPP Corazón Lower School and KIPP Corazón Upper School with generous turkey donations.
MelB Alliance — Provided turkeys for KIPP Compton Lower School families.
Watts Community Core — Hosted a Fall Family Feast for over 40 KIPP Ignite families and provided turkeys for the school's November attendance incentive giveaway.
Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson — Donated turkeys for KIPP Empower families.
United Parents & Students — Provided turkeys for KIPP Compton Lower School families.
Champions of Caring Connections — Provided fresh fruits, vegetables, and packaged goods for 25 KIPP Compton Lower School families.
Centro Maravilla Service Center — Provided turkeys for KIPP Sol families
