Rooted in Care: New Pantry Opens at KIPP Endeavor & KIPP Promesa

KIPP Endeavor and KIPP Promesa are proud to announce the launch of a shared school pantry.

The pantry is rooted in a vision to create a caring and sustainable school community where all students and families have access to nutritious food and essential resources, fostering equity, resilience, and environmental responsibility.

The pantry is located near the front office at KIPP Endeavor but is open and accessible to both KIPP Endeavor and KIPP Promesa families. With the support of Community School Managers and Community School Counselors, families can request access confidentially and receive the resources they need.

To raise awareness, the schools recently hosted a grand opening presentation and distributed flyers around campus with detailed instructions on how families can sign up. If families have any questions, they are encouraged to contact their school’s front office.

Thanks to funding from the Community Schools Grant, the schools were able to purchase a refrigerator, storage cabinet, and a starter supply of items to launch the pantry. Community School Managers at both locations have been actively reaching out to local grocery stores to find sustainable partners. Their first partner, Superior Grocers, has generously contributed gift cards to help replenish the pantry and has committed to providing quarterly support going forward.

This pantry is a powerful testament to the care, collaboration, and commitment of the KIPP Endeavor and KIPP Promesa teams—especially our Community School Managers and Counselors—who worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life.

Their efforts reflect the deep impact these roles have in creating supportive, resource-rich environments where every student and family can thrive.
