Jon Berg

Executive Movie Producer, Stampede Ventures

Jon Berg is a producer and a partner in Stampede Ventures, a television and film production company based in Los Angeles. Mr. Berg began his career at Brillstein-Grey Entertainment in the motion-picture department. Thereafter, Mr. Berg was hired to work at the Canton Company. In 1998, Universal Studios chairwoman Stacey Snider hired Mr. Berg as director of development. At Universal, Berg was instrumental in finding and developing “The Bourne Identity”. Mr. Berg left Universal for a producing deal, founding a management and production company housed at Universal Studios where he executive-produced “Out of Time”. Shortly thereafter, his company evolved into Guy Walks into a Bar, a collaboration with a long time friend, Todd Komarnicki.  “Elf” was the first film produced through their shingle. In 2007, Mr. Berg was hired as a Senior Vice President at Warner Bros. Studios where he stayed for 10 years ultimately rising to Co-President of Production and Co-Head of DC Films. While at Warner Bros., Mr. Berg was an executive on 18 films. While at DC films, Mr. Berg executive produced two films, “Wonder Woman” and “Aquaman”, and produced one, “Justice League.” Mr. Berg left WB at the end of 2017 and partnered in Vertigo in January of 2018 producing “Dr. Sleep”. Mr. Berg received a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
