These are challenging times and we want you to know that we are here to support our families and KIPPsters during KIPP SoCal’s school closures. To ensure our students have access to healthy breakfast and lunch, KIPP SoCal has opened 15 Grab & Go meal distribution sites where you can pick up meals for all of the children in your household.

 

• You can visit ANY of the 15 KIPP SoCal sites to receive meals- please see the list of sites below.
• Sites will only be distributing meals two times per week and we will provide multiple days worth of meals for each child - please review the Meal Distribution Schedule below.
• Children must be present to pick up a meal for them.
• Sites will be conducting a drive-thru/walk-up distribution of pre-packaged, shelf-stable meals. 
• If you're planning to walk-thru, please bring a bag to hold your meals.
• Each child (18 years and younger) will receive one breakfast and one lunch for each day.
• Meals are FREE for ALL children.
• Meals are for pick up only. They cannot be consumed on site.
• For safety reasons, please do not arrive at any of the Grab and Go sites before 9:00 a.m.

• If your site has a drive-thru available, please utilize it if you have access to a car. This limits all physical contact and exposure to others.
• Stand at least 6 feet apart from other people at all times. For those walking to pick up meals, please follow staff’s instructions in regards to forming a line and distancing from others. 
• No high-fiving, hugging, fist bumping, etc. Offer a smile and a friendly wave instead!
• We are recommending that families bring either bags or boxes to hold their meals.
• After picking up meals, please exit the school site immediately. Meals may not be consumed onsite. 
• Do not visit a school site if you or anyone in your household is a) experiencing a fever and/or respiratory infection symptoms or b) has traveled to any region with significant community transmission within the last 14 days.

As there are many unknowns during this period of school closure, we are prepared to adjust our operations and adapt to changes as they arise, including adding or changing serving locations if needed.

KIPP Corazón Academy	9325 Long Beach Blvd, South Gate, CA 90280	Families can walk onto campus through Long Beach Blvd entrance, pick up meals and exit onto Illinois Ave. Families can also pick-up meals using driveway: enter from Illinois Ave., pick up meals, exit right onto Long Beach Blvd.
KIPP Empower Academy	8466 S. Figueroa, LA, CA 90003	Families can enter service line on 83rd St., make right on Flower St., enter back cul-de-sac gate to meal pick up line and exit by making left turn on 84th Place. For walk thru, families can line up on gray fence on Figueroa St. Social distancing will be maintained, staff member will direct families to pick up meals.
KIPP Ignite Academy	9110 S. Central Avenue, LA, CA 90001	Cars will enter alleyway parallel to Central Ave (where valet occurs) with a right turn from 92nd St., stop at alley gate to receive meals and exit with right turn from 91st St. Walk-up: families will walk up to 91st gate from Central Ave. to access meals. Social distancing will be maintained.
KIPP Los Angeles Preparatory Academy	2810 Whittier Blvd, LA, CA 90023	Drive thru meal distribution set up outside by parking lot so families can drive up, get meals and go. Walk-up: Families will enter through walk in gate on Whittier Blvd., grab a meal and go.
KIPP Philosophers Academy	8300 S. Central Avenue, LA, CA 90001	Walk-thru only: meal distribution will be set up inside campus. Big gate on Central Ave will be labeled with sign for families to walk up and grab and go. Social distancing will be maintained.
KIPP Promesa Preparatory	207 S. Dacotah, LA, CA 90063	Drive thru: Cars to line up on 2nd St., turn left onto Dacotah, meal pick up will be set up off Dacotah (where dismissal valet is), cars to pull up 2 at a time. Walk-thru: set up in same area, with tables guiding families to grab and go. Social distancing will be maintained.
KIPP Raíces Academy	668 S. Atlantic Blvd, LA, CA 90022	Drive thru: set up in front of Hall of X (bet. spider web & slide), cars should line up going North on Atlantic, wrap around to Hubbard, cars will enter thru playground gate on Atlantic Blvd to pick up meals. Walk-thru set up in lobby of main office (650 S. Atlantic). Social distancing will be maintained.
KIPP Pueblo Unido	3759 E. 57th Street, Maywood, CA 90270	Walk up only: meal distribution in patio/meal area. Families should enter serving area from the parking lot gate on the corner of Carmelita and 56th. North side of campus. Social distancing will be maintained.
KIPP Scholar Academy	1729 W. Martin Luther King Blvd, LA, CA 90062	Drive thru: set up by parking lot on Martin Luther King Blvd., cars can drive up and pick up meals and go. Walk thru: Families to enter parking gate on MLK, stay on right side following cones, staff member will place meals on table for pick up. Social distancing will be maintained.
KIPP Sol Academy	4800 E. Cesar Chavez Blvd, LA, CA 90022	Drive thru: Families will enter via parking gate on Mednik Ave., stop in front of cafe, wait for staff member to place meals on table located right on the lane. Walk thru: Families enter via parking gate on Mednik Ave., and stay on right lane, walk up to Cafe, staff member will place meals on table to pick up. Social distancing will be maintained.
KIPP Vida Preparatory	4410 S. Budlong, LA, CA 90037	Drive thru: Families will enter thru alley entrance (morning valet), and pull up to second exterior doors outside Bates. Walk-thru: Families will line up along Vernon Ave., food service request point being exterior door to cafeteria (exit on Vernon). Social distancing will be maintained.
