Roxanne Cowperthwaite

Roxanne Cowperthwaite is the School Leader at KIPP Adelante. Roxanne is a San Diego native and recently moved back after spending the past 8 years teaching and leading schools in Brooklyn, New York.  Prior to joining the team last year, she was a founding Dean of School Culture at Achievement First Apollo Middle School. Throughout her time at Achievement First Apollo Middle School, the school was recognized as a New York City Reward School due their academic achievement, growth, and excellence.

This is her 11th year in education and she has taught English Language Arts in both New York and Texas. Roxanne graduated from Bryant University with a degree in International Business Management. Roxanne takes pride in being the daughter of an immigrant and positively contributing to her community and hometown of San Diego. She loves dancing, listening to music, and being outdoors!
