Los Angeles (December 1, 2023) — KIPP SoCal Public Schools—one of the nation's largest and most successful nonprofit public charter school networks operating 23 elementary and middle schools in Los Angeles and San Diego—has released its 2023 impact report showcasing two decades of equity and excellence.

The report celebrates and highlights the network's 20-year journey of establishing joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students for college, career, and beyond. Since 2003, KIPP SoCal has been dedicated to equity in public education, grounded in the belief that fostering strong, trusting relationships within schools can nurture each student's limitless potential. 

Here are some of the highlights: 

  • 10K college acceptances over 20 years 
  • $2.8M in college scholarships over 20 years 
  • 285+ colleges and universities attended by alums
  • 13 beautiful, state-of-the-art campuses in SoCal
  • 3 National Blue Ribbon School Awards 
  • 9 U.S. News & World Report Best Elementary & Middle School Awards
  • 9 California Distinguished School Awards 
  • 11 Innovate Top Los Angeles County Public Schools

The report also emphasizes the organization's commitment to providing students with the skills and confidence to pursue any path they choose through rigorous academics, explained learning opportunities, identity affirmation, anti-racist learning environments, and personalized college and career counseling
