Party at the Polls: KIPP SoCal Hosts Voting Centers and Resource Fairs to Spark Civic Engagement

MEDIA ADVISORY

Los Angeles, CA (February 27, 2024) — KIPP SoCal Public Schools, one of the largest charter public school networks in Southern California, has partnered with the LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk to convert eight of our school campuses into pop-up voting centers

This initiative aims to increase civic engagement among KIPP SoCal students, families, teachers, team members, and community members, ensuring they are registered and prepared to vote for the upcoming primary election on March 5.

In addition to the voting centers, KIPP SoCal will host three “Party at the Polls!” community resource fairs at KIPP Promesa Prep (Saturday, March 2), KIPP Academy of Opportunity (Saturday, March 2), and KIPP Ignite Academy (Sunday, March 5).

These events will give community members the opportunity to connect with community organizations, register to vote, submit their ballots, and gain more information about the upcoming elections to make informed decisions.
