KIPP & Charter Leaders React to President's 2018 Budget

We at KIPP LA believe that education is the clearest path to a life full of choice and opportunity, and we are committed to helping our children make it to and through college. Every day our team and family is proving the power of a great public education. However, the opportunity to achieve the American Dream extends beyond the classroom to the factors that impact whether all children have what they need to learn and achieve.

Today, KIPP published a joint op-ed in USA Today with over 20 of our CMO cousins that shares our perspective on the proposed 2018 federal budget, which has outlined cuts to vital programs that would negatively impact our students, families, and communities. Read the statement here.

We stand in solidarity with our students, families, and communities in our commitment to prepare the 'whole child', and we are prepared to work with Congress and the Administration to find a path forward that supports critical investments in public education, college access, and the wellbeing of our children, families, and communities.
